Burgundy and rust forms with a white outline on a raw cream ground — a moody, deeply saturated abstract art print unlike anything else in the Terra Forms series. The surface has a stained, organic quality: color shifting from near-black at the center to burnt orange at the edge. Ships unframed, which is worth thinking about here — black pulls the most out of this piece, but white lets the cream ground breathe. Strong choice for a bedroom, study, or dining room that runs darker than most.

Field Notes

From Terra Forms — but drawing from a different part of Northern California's ceramic tradition than the warmer, brighter pieces in the series. Reduction-fired stoneware, iron-rich clay that darkens under oxygen-deprived heat, the mottled surfaces of wood-kiln pottery. No. 09 is what happens when the same vessel vocabulary gets pushed to its darkest register.

A good unframed art print for spaces that have outgrown purely neutral abstract work — this one has enough tonal depth to anchor a room on its own. Affordable moody wall art for a bedroom or home office that wants something with more presence than a typical earth tone poster.
