We create abstract prints inspired by Northern California — the industrial textures, coastal fog, and native flora we see daily in Napa Valley. Not wine country lifestyle branding. The actual working landscape.
For every piece that makes it to the site, hundreds don't. We explore relentlessly, then spend hours refining what survives — color correction, repainting, upscaling, technical cleanup.
The work either captures something real or it doesn't. That's the only filter.
Galleries mark up 200–400% to cover rent and commissions. A $500 gallery piece costs about $125 to produce.
We skip the markup. Digital creation, print-on-demand fulfillment, and direct sales let us offer the same archival-quality materials at $75–$225 instead of $500–$2,000.

Every piece uses museum-grade materials: 250gsm archival matte paper and pigment inks rated for 100+ years. Our framed prints add solid pine frames with UV-protective plexiglass. All production is FSC-certified sustainable.

Merritt Lane isn't a platform hosting thousands of artists from around the world. There's no algorithm surfacing trending pieces. No submissions. No curation committee.
This is one studio in Napa Valley. One point of view. Everything here was designed, tested, and rejected or kept by the same eye, every time — backed by 30 years of work in design and visual communication.
Hundreds of concepts get explored for every piece that makes it to the site. Most of the work is killing the ones that almost work. What survives that process isn't a style or a trend. It's a standard.
Our framed prints use real wood frames and archival-quality paper with pigment-based inks rated to last decades. Our poster prints use the same paper and ink quality — just unframed and ready for your own. What you see on screen is what arrives at your door, and if it doesn't meet your expectations, we'll make it right.
We know this isn't for everyone. Art never is. But if you can look at something and just know you like it — without needing a thesis, a pedigree, or someone's permission — you're exactly who we made this for.
