Four warm color fields — ochre, dusty pink, cream, and pale white — divided by rough charcoal lines that meet off-center like the corner of an old wall. Minimal and structured but still painterly, with enough surface texture to feel handmade rather than designed. Ships unframed — a clean frame in white or natural wood sharpens the architectural quality, or hang it as-is for something more casual.

Field Notes

What makes this piece work is the tension between soft color and hard line. The pink and ochre fields are warm, matte, and gently textured. The charcoal marks cutting through them are fast, rough, and slightly messy — paint dragged through paint, not drawn on top. That contrast keeps the minimal composition from reading as empty and gives the eye something to follow at close range.
