Black and rust abstract wall art with large interlocking color masses — dominant black forms meeting saturated terracotta shapes across a cream ground, edges curving into each other with zero hesitation. Field Notes

Part of The Contour Studies — graphic work built from bold shapes, high contrast, and the visual directness of relief printing. This piece pushes the collection to its loudest register. Black takes up most of the composition, with rust and coral forms holding the left edge and bottom left like structural brackets. The cream showing through isn't background — it's the negative space doing the work of separating heavy forms that would otherwise merge into a single dark mass.

Best suited for spaces that can handle a strong focal point — wide walls, rooms with enough breathing room that the piece doesn't overwhelm the furniture. Works well on its own or as the anchor of a bold gallery wall with other Contour Studies pieces playing supporting roles. Framed and ready to hang.
