Abstract coastal wall art centered on a single diagonal wave — deep navy water cresting and breaking into white foam, with a loose patchwork of pink, yellow, teal, and lavender across the foreground. More restrained than it sounds: the cream and white in the composition give it plenty of breathing room. Part of The Open Studies, a collection drawn from Northern California's most color-forward landscapes. The reference is the open Pacific coast — the kind of big, cold-water swells that hit Half Moon Bay and Bodega Bay, where the wave face goes nearly black before it breaks white. The colorful patchwork in the foreground is less literal, pulling color from wet sand, foam runoff, and the way coastal light fractures across uneven water. A natural fit for a coastal-themed gallery wall or any space that wants abstract ocean art that holds up past first glance.
