Warm sand and soft cream with a single concentrated passage of raw sienna and dark umber running down the upper left — the quietest piece in The Plaster Works. Most of the surface is open and barely there: thin plaster texture, subtle cracking, faint tonal shifts between tan and warm white. All the visual weight gathers in one area and then lets go. A bedroom, reading nook, or any wall where calm is the whole point. Arrives framed and ready to hang.

Field Notes

The composition works by withholding. Two-thirds of the surface is nearly empty — warm, flat, matte, with just enough cracked texture to prove it isn't blank. Then a rough vertical passage in the upper portion concentrates everything: darker values, thicker paint, a small glowing patch of warm white surrounded by raw sienna. It reads like a window in a plaster wall, or the last bit of detail left after everything else has been sanded away.

The final piece in The Plaster Works and the most atmospheric. Where Deep Relief fills a room, Dissolve empties one. Best for spaces where you want warmth and presence without any visual noise — above a headboard, at the end of a hallway, or on a wall you look at when you want to think about nothing.
