Orchard Plat

Before Silicon Valley was Silicon Valley it was called the Valley of Heart's Delight — forty miles of apricot, prune, and cherry orchards running from San Jose to the bay, the most productive agricultural valley in California. Then the plats came. A plat is the legal subdivision document, the grid drawn over existing land to divide it into parcels, streets, and lots. Drawn in red on white drafting paper, filed with the county, and that was that. Orchard Plat renders that act as pure geometry: red lines — hand-edged, slightly imperfect, drawn with conviction rather than CAD precision — imposed over soft fields of taupe and pale blue that read like aerial orchard land under morning fog. The grid doesn't quite line up. The horizontals drift. The land underneath doesn't fully comply. A bold geometric abstract print for interiors that want color and structure without sacrificing warmth. Works especially well in home offices, modern dining rooms, or any space where red is an accent color already doing something on the wall.
