Square art print with two zones of line work on a warm cream ground — open horizontal marks in the upper half, dense overlapping crosshatch in the lower, with a gradual shift between them. The composition has a clear logic that reads across the room and more detail to find up close. Ships unframed on archival paper. Works in natural wood, white, or black frame depending on how much contrast your space wants. Good for a living room, home office, or bedroom where a square format needs to work as a focal point.

Field Notes

From the Material Trace Studies — work focused on mark, surface, and accumulated process. This piece uses the same basic line vocabulary as the rest of the series but organizes it into two distinct states: loose and open versus dense and compressed. The threshold between them is what the piece is actually about — not quite a horizon line, not quite a seam, just the place where one condition becomes another.

Same 250gsm archival matte paper used in our framed editions. Natural white, uncoated, acid-free surface rated to resist yellowing over time. Archival pigment inks rated for 100+ years of color stability. Ships flat or in a protective tube depending on size.

Care & Display

We recommend framing under glass or plexiglass for long-term display. Until framed, store flat and away from direct sunlight and moisture. Not recommended for unframed display in bathrooms or outdoor areas.
