Field Notes

From Maritime Forms — a series drawn from the Northern California coast. The palette on this one comes specifically from the waterline: the deep green-teal of kelp-stained fiberglass or painted steel, the warm tan of sun-bleached surfaces just above it. The thin lines running through both forms aren't decorative — they read like the traces kelp fronds leave when they drag across something stationary.

An affordable teal abstract poster that works harder than most in its color range — the warm forms keep it from going cold, and the looping lines give it enough complexity to hold up at close range. Pairs well with natural materials, warm wood tones, and spaces that can handle a dominant ground color.
