Field Notes

Part of Maritime Forms — this one pulled from the cross-section of a dock at low tide: bleached timber pilings, the near-black of waterlogged wood below the waterline, barnacled posts weathered to gray. The oxblood border reads like old marine paint — the kind that's been touched up one too many times and started doing something interesting. Fine-line surface texture throughout that only reveals itself up close.
