Field Notes

The palette is tight — coral, dark green, black, and not much else — which is what gives it that graphic clarity even at a distance. The poppies read as shapes first and flowers second, so it sits comfortably alongside abstract work as much as it does with other botanicals. Not the soft watercolor floral you've seen a thousand times.
