Black and white abstract wall art dominated by a single large compound form — a chunky, slightly off-kilter mass where each face carries its own directional texture. Loose diagonal striations on the broad front plane, tight vertical lines on the right face, horizontal scratching at the base. Solid black gaps between the planes create the illusion of depth and dimension. The whole thing reads almost sculptural. Part of The Friction Series — work drawn from the weathered surfaces of Northern California's industrial landscape. The three distinct wear patterns here suggest a structure that's taken force from multiple directions over time: diagonal abrasion on one face, vertical scoring on another, horizontal grinding at the base. Like a concrete corner post or a steel block that's been worked on from every angle. The sculptural quality separates this from flatter, more graphic pieces in the series — it has mass and shadow.
