Field Notes

Part of The Contour Studies — graphic work built from bold outlines, vessel shapes, and the visual language of relief printing. This is the collection's warmest piece and probably its most approachable. Where most of the series works in black and neutral territory, this one leads with saturated terracotta against bright cream — real color that still feels grounded. The grey buffer between the rust and cream forms gives each shape a slight dimensional lift, like tiles set into a surface.

A strong standalone piece for spaces that lean warm and natural — wood tables, linen, clay pottery on the shelf. Also works as the color anchor in a Contour Studies gallery wall, giving the darker pieces around it something to play off. Framed and ready to hang.
