Vertical abstract coastal wall art with a soft lavender-pink atmosphere above and a warm teal-and-amber lower zone below — connected by a bright white-yellow light column at center that reflects down into the water or wet sand beneath it. The composition reads in two registers: cool and diffuse above, warm and specific below. Works well in a living room or bedroom with mixed warm and cool tones — the palette is broad enough to bridge most neutrals. White frame keeps the lavender from going cool and flat.

Field Notes

From The Coastal Light Studies — work built around the specific color behavior of the Northern California coast. This piece is about a sun column breaking through marine layer and hitting the waterline: the moment when fog is still overhead but the light has found a path through, creating a narrow zone of warmth against the teal of a receding tide. The reflection in the lower half is the tell — still water or wet sand acting as a brief mirror before the tide shifts.

One of the more color-complete pieces in the collection — lavender, teal, amber, and warm white all sharing space without competing. Pairs well with quieter Coastal Light works for a gallery wall with range. Framed and ready to hang.
