Close-cropped botanical wall art of a California poppy in vivid rust-orange — petals filled with dense white line work radiating from a dark center, the flower scaled up and cropped so it fills the frame completely. Field Notes

Part of the Northern California Flora Archive. The California poppy is the state flower for a reason — it dominates every hillside it touches, turning Napa roadsides and coastal bluffs solid orange from February through April. This piece doesn't document the poppy from a distance. It gets close enough to show the structure: the way the petals cup around a dark center, the fine lines running from base to edge, the physical weight of saturated color against black.

The color makes it the natural focal point in a gallery wall of Flora Archive prints, or a standalone framed botanical print for a room that can hold it. Framed and ready to hang.
