Field Notes

After the peak of No. 07, this piece lands it. Three horizontal bands — concrete grey with rust-brown bleeding through at top, a wide vivid coral-red band across the middle, and a large dark burgundy-crimson mass below with smoky internal texture framed by black edges. Drips mark the transition between the red and the dark ground, the only gestural element in an otherwise still composition. Where earlier pieces held tension through atmosphere and line, this one holds it through material weight — the red no longer a mark or a sky but a layer pressed between grey and black like something recorded in the earth itself. Bold abstract wall art for spaces that want saturated color and compositional structure without chaos, particularly modern living rooms, home offices, or dining rooms with dark or neutral palettes.
