The Burn Season begins here — with stillness and a single red line. The composition is almost entirely open sky, warm cream dissolving into soft smoke-like forms, before a thin horizontal mark cuts across the lower third. Below it, the ground goes dark and cracked, textured like dried earth or scorched hardpan. This is the collection's quietest piece, and it earns everything that follows.
