The one surprise: a small orange bud at lower right that keeps the whole thing from going too sweet. Ships unframed on archival paper — the cool sky blue and pastel palette pair naturally with white or light grey frames. Field Notes

Tulips bloom across Northern California in a narrow window in late March and April — the petals opening wide in the afternoon warmth, the colors shifting depending on the light. This piece works from a specific moment: standing low, looking up into the blooms as they open, the sky visible behind them in pieces. The palette is soft but not empty — pink, cream, lavender, and pale yellow with enough green and that single orange accent to keep it honest.
